SENIOR CONCEPT DESIGNER
We are looking for a restless individual who is passionate about fashion, architecture, art, and design. Working on seasonal collections, you will play a crucial role in creating story-led, multi-material concepts spanning across multiple product lines. Working closely with the Head of Design & the Creative Director this role calls for a visionary who can bring a clear point of view, aesthetic, and design ability, while working comfortably and productively within a small team within a larger organisation. You must bring strong design sensibilities that can disrupt but aligns to the Iittala creative direction and understands how to bring the Creative Director’s vision to life.
This hybrid position is permanent and based in Espoo, Finland.
WHAT YOU'LL DO AT FISKARS GROUP

Responsibilities:
  • Delivering compelling story-led concepts in line with the Creative Directors vision.
  • Developing concepts for seasonal collections.
  • Conducting research and digesting insights.
  • Attending trade shows, inspirational trips, and factory visits.
  • Identifying new growth areas plus being reactive to current key product drivers.
  • Creating moodboards and orientation.
  • Generating, sketching, and visualising ideas and concepts.
  • Realising seasonal colour and material pallets.
  • Working with Designers to translate concepts into products.
  • Creating concept and product presentations.
Who you are:
  • Story-driven, creative thinker with a pragmatic business mind.
  • Entrepreneurial spirit with an international outlook.
  • Ability to look to the future while staying true to the DNA of our brand.
  • Fashion-oriented and with a special sensibility for product.
  • Experimental and playful with focus on concepting, prototyping, and hacking.
  • Comfortable working with mixed media (products, materials, technologies, etc.).
  • Self-motivated whilst being comfortable collaborating and co-creating with others.
  • Quick paced, energetic, takes initiative and thinks proactively.
  • Sharp focus on luxury and premium materials.
  • Appreciation for artisans and craftmanship.
  • Strong communication, presentation, and organizational skills.
  • Fashion/luxury background an advantage.
  • Transdisciplinary educational background from experimental, boundary-pushing university.
